twelve people sleeping
eleven little smokies
ten timers ticking
nine scrambled eggs
eight funky noses
seven shiny earrings
six teddy bears
FIVE CHRISTMAS TREES
four ornaments
three belly buttons
two burning fires
and a bathtub full of chickpeas!

Merry Christmas to all,
unless you’re in some other timezone.
Then you can translate. :)
As we near Christmas, let’s remember what this season is really about.
It’s about millennia old traditions to help push the sun past winter solstice, celebrate life where it clings in the cold months, and to spend time and resources enjoying family and friends instead of being stircrazy in the dark months.
It’s also okay to celebrate the September birth of Jewish royalty revered as a messenger of peace and love on December 25 if you like, but that’s totally not necessary.
