I’m taking over Josh’s journal, because he doesn’t post anything anymore.
[insert deep, booming voice here]

This is Josh. I have been very busy lately, so please excuse my absence of recent posts. Aside from getting ready for Baby to arrive in a few short weeks, I have been doing FLOTS of yardwork. Those trees need a lot of attention– I have trimmed and trimmed, and have tree bits lying all about the yard. I have also been working a lot, which seems to take up a lot of time and energy. Useless, I say! Although it helps pay the bills, which is a definite perk.

In other recent news, I ripped the capture card out of Erica’s box and it is now happily running in my box. I am in the process of making it do my bidding. I stayed up way too late messing with it, which probably explains today’s tiredness (although the sugar in the cola I had has not helped).

I missed pixellaneous while it was down… I’m sooo glad the server is alive again. I guess I just need to rant sometimes, and this happens to be a pretty handy venue.

Um, so, I’m having a baby in plus-or-minus five weeks. OH MY GOD. It occurs to me that I am quite unprepared, and I’m feeling a little panicky. It is all such a huge unknown, and the biggest thing that I’ve ever undertaken. I get the feeling that there is no preparing for the changes that are about to cause a giant shift in my perception of life, the universe, and everything. I know that everything will be fine in the end, and truthfully, I think I’ll feel a LOT better once past the whole birthing-of-the-child thing. I’m a little anxious about that.

I like to break things. Like webpages. And templates. And stuff like that.

Finally, a new layout. The hard drive in our server died a slow, painful death earlier this week, and now that we’re back online, I figured this was a good time to start over. Please bear with me as I get everything linked, and while I tweak all of the little hidden areas of Greymatter so that it works as it should. I finally switched over from Blogger– it was great while it lasted, but it was down and/or slow more often than not, and blogvoices just plain stopped working a few weeks ago. This is all on our server here at the house, so I don’t have to worry about heavy traffic, and if something isn’t working right, we just reboot the server. :) Anyway, lots of work to do still… I’m off to play in notepad!

La la la… just wondering if I’m brain dead or not.

Well, mostly fixed… the time stamp is wrong, and thus the date stamp. There are also several links not up yet… just little stuff. It’s nice to see something different for a change, though.
