Bike Conversion

I was uncomfortable riding my flat bar bike, and it’s been neglected for a while. I’m converting my hybrid into a cyclocross by swapping in some low-end drops and road brifters. I never figured out what they do to make STI brifters work with linear pull cantilever brakes, so I’m using Problem Solvers Travel Agent pulleys. Levers are Microshift R9 Double, which has about as much plastic as the 2300 series, but is still a tiny fraction of the cost. Brakes are same Deore cantis. Nashvar frame, Fuji carbon fork, XT 795 shadow derailleur, Sun CR18 rims with M430 hubs, FSA Vero compact double, which is between Tiagra and 105 level. Keeping the 40 degree stem for now.
